a Beanie Club 

• Introduction:The earliest opportunity for young children to sample the Chinese language (Mandarin) and culture with fun and games, singing and dancing

• Class time: The total length of each class is 1 hour and 45 minutes. Including 15 minutes of snack time (bring your own snacks)

• Average age of students: 11-years old No mandarin learning background
• Teaching Content Guide:
• Language learning: Preliminary learning simple dialogue, Chinese pinyin, radicals, Knowing at least 100 Chinese characters. Learn to write essays
with 20-50 Characters.

b   Senior Level 2 

• Description: Classes designed for older children, using the book "AQA GCSE BOOK1" with the option of studying towards GCSE Chinese.
• Class time: The total length of each class is 1 hour and 45 minutes, including 15 minutes of snack time (bring your own snacks)

• Language requirements for transfer students: YCT Level 3 and above

• Introduction: This is an Upper-intermediate level course
• Class time: The total length of each class is 1 hour and 45 minutes, including 15 minutes of snack time (bring your own snacks)

• Average age of students: 15-18 years old,
• Teaching Content Guide: This class is an innovative experimental class established in the Autumn of 2018. It does not take the test as the learning goal, but simply maintains the students' existing
Chinese standard and enthusiasm for learning. The teaching still includes listening, speaking, reading and writing. However, classroom teaching will focus on oral communication skills supplemented by reading and writing. The textbook ESC5 plays a media role in this class. It is the source of the topic, and the classroom teaching style is flexible and diverse, such as: impromptu discussion, situational dialogue, watching videos, interesting creation stories,appreciation of good texts, etc. In short, this class aims to improve students' oral English proficiency.

 

g Senior HSK 4

• Introduction: This is an exam preparation course working towards HSK 4. Candidates who pass HSK (Level 4) can use Chinese for a wider range of fields. Talk about the
topic and communicate fluently with native Chinese speaker.
• Class time: The total length of each class is 2 hour and 15 minutes, including 15 minutes of snack time (bring your own snacks).
Saturday 10:00 – 12:15
• Average age of students: 16-18 years old,
• Teaching Content Guide:
• Language learning: 1200 vocabulary summary learning; learning HSK4 grammar; learning to write an essay with at least 200 characters.

a Adult HSK 1 

• Introduction: This course is an entry level for adult Chinese and is available to students who
plan to apply for HSK1. Candidates who pass HSK (Level 1) can understand and
use some very simple Chinese words and sentences to meet specific communication needs and can learn Chinese further.
• Class time: The total length of each class is 1 hour and 45 minutes, including 15 minutes of
snack time (bring your own snacks)

• Introduction: This is an intermedia Chinese course for adult. It is intended to help adult
students who plan to take HSK Level 3 exam. Through studying HSK 3, Candidates can complete basic communication tasks in life, study, work, etc. in Chinese. When travelling in China, they can handle most of the
communication tasks encountered.

After school Clubs

Age:4-18 year-old

Nihao Mandarin Language School has opened its first after school club in Wilson boys’ school since 2009. It has been more than ten years now. Every year, in mid-June, regular “Beginner Class” will be offered to freshmen in the seventh grade; for those who have the desire to continue learning, there will also be relevant intermediate classes, advanced classes and preparation courses (for GCSE). The class size is between 6 and 10 people,the textbook we currently used is the HSK series of international Chinese proficiency test. Among the students in the history, many of them have achieved good results in Chinese GCSE and A level, making Chinese the key to their life.
